2010 Performer Applications

We are now taking applications for performers for the 2010 Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival program.

Please either fill out the on-line application form (preferred method), or download a PDF application form and return it by email or post.

Please include and forward any CD, DVD, Web site links, or relevant promotional material regarding your act along with your application.

Performer information

The Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival is organised and presented by a small sub-committee of the Dorrigo Arts Council, run entirely by volunteers.

• The 9^th Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival will be held on the 22^nd to the 24^th of October, 2010 at the picturesque Dorrigo Showground.
• The primary venue for concerts is the main pavilion, while the luncheon pavilion allows for a more intimate environment as well as an excellent locally provided and prepared menu.
• There are normally 3 workshop venues in the showgrounds
• On Saturday and Sunday mornings there are performances in the local eateries and cafes of the town centre. Impromptu jamming and sessions are a favourite feature of the weekend.
• We anticipate that the successful artists will be available for the entire weekend and welcome offers of prospective workshops and availability to perform for the young children.
• When quoting your fee, please take into consideration that the Festival is a not-for-profit event with a limited budget. Please be realistic if you wish your application to be considered favourably. Fees quoted are to be totally inclusive of all costs such as GST, travel, etc
• The Festival is able to provide performer camping on site and also has a number of billets available close to the showground.
• Performer Applications close on May 30^th.
• We will acknowledge all applications and envisage completing our performer selection by the end of June.
