FAQ's for the Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival Inc.

The Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival is held on Gumbaynggirr country in Dorrigo, NSW, Australia. We acknowledge and pay our respect to elders both past and present. The Festival takes place at the Dorrigo Showgrounds 4180 Waterfall Way.

  • 2019's Festival Dates are the 25th- 27th October. 
  • The 17th DF&BF Inc. 2018 starts at 6pm on the 26th October. 
  • We aim to be a drug, alcohol, smoke and plastic free event. 
  • There are no pets or bikes allowed onsite, dogs are strictly permitted with medical reasoning. 
  • There is Food and Drink available at the Festival Site. Our Food Stalls cater for all needs.

Tickets and Ticket Office:

  • Only Early Bird Tickets will be available until the 31st August 2018. 
  • From the 1st September you will be able to purchase Full Priced Tickets. These are available in different combinations. 
  • Tickets will be available online until Sunday the 28th October. 
  • If you purchase your ticket online you will receive an eTicket. eTickets are electronically issued tickets, i.e. they are delivered to you by email. The Festival partners with Trybooking for tickets to the festival. Please print out these tickets and bring them to the festival with you. When you first arrive at the festival, please go to the box-office where we will then issue your wristbands.
  • You will be able to purchase tickets at the Festival from 10am on Friday the 26th October. 
  • Ticket Office hours are:               Fri 26th: 10am-late                Sat 27th: 8am-late                Sun 28th: 9am-late 
  • Please take care of your wristband as we will not replace your damaged wristband with a new one. 

Camping:

  • Camping is available at the Dorrigo Showgrounds on Festival Site. 
  • Powered Camping is currently booked out, however we are working on getting more Powered Sites. If you have a health condition which requires Power please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will do our best to accommodate you. 
  • There is plenty of Un-Powered Camping available. 
  • Camping is purchased Per Person Per Night. 
  • There are Amenities (showers and toilets) on site. Please be resepctful and clean up after yourself. 
  • When purchasing please make sure that you read the Camping Terms & Conditions as we'd hate to cause offence at enforcing rules which are not being recognised.  

Merchandise:

  • The Festival Merchandise shop will open:         Fri 26th: 6pm           Sat 27th: 9am         Sun 28th: 9am
  • Both Festival Merhcandise and Performers Merhcandise will be for sale. 
  • Festival Merchandise is only available during the Festival Weekend. 

Programme:

  • We cannot guarantee a day for the release of the 2018 programme however we hope to have it out by the 1st October. 
  • Hard copy programme's will be available at the Ticket Office. 
  • The programme will be released on the website however we ask that you do pay for a hardcopy of the programme on the Festival weekend as the money raised goes toward 2019's Line-up. 

Volunteering:

  • Volunteer applications for DF&BF Inc 2018 can only be made via our website by completing an online application form. All Volunteers for DF&BF Inc 2018 are required to complete the online application form including volunteers who have worked in a volunteer position in previous festivals.
  • If you volunteer for the 2018 festival you will receive festival pass - 10 hours volunteering entitles you to a Full Weekend Pass - and you will be most welcome to attend the Volunteers Party on Sunday night, plus you’ll experience the warm fuzzy feeling of being part of the Festival!
