Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival is an acoustic weekend of concerts, workshops, jamming, dancing and more, focused primarily on Old-Time, Bluegrass and Folk traditions.

A family friendly festival with something for everyone. We encourage participation from all ages and are dedicated to sharing our love of music. Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival Inc. would like to acknowledge that this festival is held on the traditional lands of the Gumbaynggirr people, and pay our respect to elders both past and present.

To all who attended the 2018 festival, in your varying capacities, the organisers would like to extend their sincere thanks for your part, no matter how big or small, in contributing to yet another successful and wonderful festival. As you all know it is a continuing work in progress and next year’s festival is already beginning to take shape and we look forward to presenting our 18th festival as the Spring reaches out over the Dorrigo Plateau.

Special thanks to all of our gracious performers,  our amazing sound crew and to our many volunteers from near and afar.

Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival Inc. will continue to bring the very best of the folk, bluegrass and old-timey worlds to the plateau. We also acknowledge and respect the importance of traditions and heritage, and the exploration of these genres that may sometimes be challenging but at the same time allows us to encompass our musicians as they explore new territories.

We are excited to be already planning our third Old Time Music School  - preceding the festival on 23rd, 24th, 25th October - and look forward to announcing our tutors for three incredible days of work shopping, intimate lessons and jamming.We will ensure that the tutors engaged  have the knowledge, heritage and respect of the genre to pass on the  important traditions of old-time music.
